Take it away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music.

 


What can I buy with the Take it Away Scheme?

The scheme will allow customers to apply for a loan from £100 to £2,000 for musical instruments such as guitars, drums, violins, wind instruments, pianos and keyboards etc.

Although you cannot buy amplifiers or PA systems and the like on their own with Take it Away, you can include equipment and services such as amplifiers, music stands, sheet music and tuition as part of your loan as long as it includes a playable instrument.

 

How do I apply?

  1. Come into any of our stores and choose your instrument and accessories
  2. Answer a few quick questions about yourself
  3. We make a quick authorisation phone call and, if successful, we complete the agreement and take the deposit
  4. You take you new instrument home!

 

What do I need to bring?

  1. A credit or debit card in the name of the person applying for the loan to pay your deposit with
  2. Your bank account details to set up the direct debit
