A legendary effects pedal, the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver gives you access to the sort of tones you usually only find from an old valve amp.
A firm favourite for many guitarists, the BD-2 Blues Driver is an incredibly useful and great sounding pedal. Perfect for delivering a fat, warm overdrive reminiscent of a valve amp ‘breaking up’ the BD-2 is a great addition to any player’s pedalboard.
As well as being a drive pedal, the BD-2 works very well as a booster. Put it in front of any valve amp with a small amount of gain, and it will push the amp to break up - ideal for bluesy solos and warm, chunky rhythm parts.
Three controls, level, gain and tone, give access to the array of tones available from the Blues Driver, whilst a large footswitch make sure it’s turned on or off at just the right moment.
As with all Boss pedals, the BD-2 Blues Driver is tank-like in construction. A full metal body and rubber base allow for years of stomping, whilst the control knobs are recessed to avoid being knocked.
The battery is easily reached via a front mounted thumb screw, whilst 9V power can be supplied through the rear mounted socket with the use of a Boss PSA adaptor (supplied separately).
