Description

The Orange Furcoat Fuzz Pedal is a vintage style fuzzbox based on the epic Foxx Machine fuzz of the 70's! This innovation Orange's is not only a one way ticket to knarly, woolly and stuttered fuzz tones but also features an independent Octavier circuit so you can even blend in huge sounding Octave up effects!

After much research and development into what should make this fuzz pedal tick, Orange opted for true bypass operation to avoid tonal colouration often associated with a buffer placed in front of it as a passive pickup on the guitar is part of the circuit. For best results throw the Furcoat at the front of the chain, directly connected to the guitar and untold amounts of woolly, knarly goodness and sustain will follow.

Probably the most unique feature of this design by Orange is the specific way they have engineered the Octave circuit. Rather than simply being able to switch it on or off the Fur Coat gives players the ability to add octave up as you increase the octave control. With this modified circuit, the Octave can even be dialled in and out using the guitar volume between 8 and 10 on any settings below maximum.

The Orange Fur Coat fuzz is practical too. This compact dual pedal only draws 10mA of current which allows for a much longer battery life.

  • Loosely based on the 1970's FOXX MACHINE
  • Octave and Fuzz effect
  • True bypass operation
  • Low current draw for battery preservation
  • Volume, Eq, Octave, Fuzz controls
  • Use a regulated 9-12V DC centre-negative power supply
