Epiphone Firebird - Vintage Sunburst
The Epiphone Firebird, part of the Inspired by Gibson range, recreates the original Firebird as it was produced back in 1963. A great way to get a piece of guitar history at an affordable price point.
Seen in the hands of many guitars legends the Explorer guitar is a part of rock n roll history and a popular model within the alternative ranks.
This incarnation of the Firebird utilizes a traditional mahogany body, finished in gloss, and complimented by the white pickguard. The body hosts a Locktone Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, keeping everything solid and reliable.
Joined to the body, with a glued in joint, is a mahogany/walnut neck that has a SlimTaper C profile that feels great in the hand. Topping the neck is a 12" radius laurel fingerboard set with Trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Powered by a pair of humbucker pickups, with a Probucker 2 in the neck position and a Probucker 3 at the bridge, the Epiphone Firebird delivers good amounts of versatility and tonal range.
The Firebird is a great take on the iconic guitrar, making it a great option for anyone after a piece of guitar history.
