Fender Custom Shop 1961 Relic Tele - Aged Olympic White / Rosewood
Celebrating the pinnacle of Fender’s ‘golden’ era, the Custom Shop 1961 Relic Telecaster, here in Aged White finish, offers all that was great about an original early ‘60s guitar with a few modern features thrown into the mix.
Featuring a two piece Alder body, hand selected for its resonance and light weight, the ‘61 proudly wears a stunning Aged Olympic White Nitrocellulose Relic finish. This has been painstakingly aged and worn by the experts in the Custom Shop to deliver the look and feel of a well loved and gigged original.
The quartersawn maple neck, tinted and treated to a Heavy Relic finish, features an Oval ‘C’ shaped profile. The AAA Rosewood Flat-Lam fretboard has a comfortable modern 9.5” radius and is home to 21 narrow jumbo frets.
The body is home to a pair of Custom Shop Hand Wound Texas Special single coil pickups, wired through a single volume and tone control via a 3 way selector switch. The electrics are given a modern nod with the inclusion of the Greasebucket Tone circuit to preserve volume whilst using the tone control.
Other features include a 3 ply cellulose tortoiseshell pickguard, a ‘58/’63 bridge with threaded saddles and vintage style tuners.
The Custom Shop 1961 Relic Tele comes complete with a deluxe hard shell case, a leather strap and a Certificate of authenticity.
