Gordon Smith GS1 Heritage Double Cut Electric Guitar - Tobacco Sunburst
Britain's oldest custom guitar manufacturer bring you the Gordon Smith GS1 Heritage Double Cut Electric Guitar, seen here in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Akin in many ways to the famous style double cutaway guitar that hit the scene way back in 1958, this Gordon Smith GS1 Heritage model will lap up raunchy rock and roll riffs, soaring blues licks and raw garage punk chords with ease.
Like all Gordon Smith guitars this GS1 Heritage didn't start life on a conveyor belt in a mass production factory. This guitar has been hand made by a small team of pro guitar luthiers and builders in Gordon Smith's HQ in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, where they have been doing their thing since 1974.
This GS1 is a member of Gordon Smith's handmade stock instrument line up and features a thick double cutaway Mahogany body with a gloss top and satin back and sides. With the thick body GS have made a fat classic profile Mahogany neck to match with that silky smooth satin feel along with a genuine rosewood fingerboard.
For the GS1, players will also benefit from a set of high quality Gotoh 18:1 tuners and a reliable retro style bar bridge, both finished in chrome, bringing excellent tuning performance and sustain.
The beauty of Gordon Smith doesn't stop there either, these guitar making gurus also wind and pot their own custom pickups at their UK headquarters! This GS1 is equipped with a no nonsense electronic set up that features a single Homewound GS Humbucker pickup that can be controlled by a simple tone and volume knob.
