Taking inspiration from the rare 1958 model, the Epiphone Explorer, part of the Inspired by Gibson range, is an affordable take on one of Gibson's iconic alternative models.
Seen in the hands of many guitars legends, including James Hetfield, Eric Claption and Dave Grohl to name but a few, the Explorer guitar is a part of rock n roll history.
This iteration utilizes a traditional mahogany body, finished in gloss, and complimented by the angular white pickguard. The body hosts a Locktone Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, keeping everything solid and reliable.
Joined to the body, with a glued in joint, is a mahogany neck that has a SlimTaper profile that feels great in the hand. Epiphone have topped with neck with a 12" radius laurel fingerboard set with dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Powering the Epiphone Explorer is a pair of humbucker pickups, with a Probucker 2 in the neck position and a Probucker 3 at the bridge. Ready for power chords, heavy riffing or searing leads, the Probuckers really deliver!
Classic looks, stage ready tones and affordability, make the Epiphone Explorer a great option for anyone after a piece of guitar history.
