The Taylor 312ce features Taylor's comfortable Grand Concert sized body, now with then enhanced V-Class bracing, alongside the Expression 2 electronics system.
With is smaller body and shorter scale (24 7/8"), the 312ce is ideally suited for the fingerstyle players but is equally as happy when played with a plectrum. It's compact size and tapered waist keeps overtones in check, great for that intimate feel and sound. The body construction of a solid Sitka Spruce top in conjunction with Sapele back and sides lends itself to the delightful modern tone whilst the Venetian cutaway enables access to the upper frets, making lead lines and upper register notes easily accessible and comfortable to play.
The V-Class bracing is an all new concept developed by master guitar designer Andy Powers of Taylor guitars from the ground up. This game changing advancement builds the internal framework of the 312ce and as a result dictates the way the guitars top vibrates, vastly improving the sound by remaining both stiff enough to offer great sustain but flexible enough to produce excellent volume. In addition, V-bracing allows the top to keep in tune with the vibrating strings, thus allowing notes and chords played anywhere on the neck to be more consistent and in tune with each other.
The satin finished Tropical Mahogany neck is adorned with an Ebony fingerboard and utilizes another leading acoustic guitar development as designed by Taylor - the NT Neck. The NT Neck is the most stable and easy to adjust neck in the industry - lending itself to a neck that will last a lifetime and is ultra playable.
The 312ce features Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics system. At the heart of the system is Taylor's behind the saddle pickup, which features three uniquely placed pickup sensors that in conjunction Taylor's custom designed professional audio grade preamp conveys the voice of the acoustic guitar whilst capturing more of the guitar's dynamic properties. Controls couldn't be simpler - volume, bass and treble.
Whether played with a pick, fingerstyle, acoustically or on stage, the Taylor 312ce will exceed expectations and deliver time after time, year after year.
