This Ibanez RG550 Genesis Collection Electric Guitar 'Made in Japan' is a proud member of the world famous Ibanez RG Series which means it is designed to turn heads both with it's asthetics and tone! 

The RG550 features a lightweight Basswood body formed in the Ibanez RG double cut shape which is both great for high fret access and creating that mean, aggressive attitude. Contoured to the natural position of the players body, this RG550 Genesis would be the perfect guitar to play for hours at home, rely on in the studio and take out on the road thanks to unrivalled comfort. 

The product of three decades of metal players and Ibanez innovation, the RG Genesis puts the players technique first. Those who like to 'Shred', the upgraded Super Wizard HP neck is a match made in heaven as a result of it's gradule widening - 17mm thickness at 1st fret and 19mm at the 12th. A matching Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays completes the playing surface by adding to the fast feel of the guitar and generating soaring bright overtones, then combine this with Jumbo frets from added note bend performance. 

A triple pickup set up is preset for this RG550 with a V7 Humbucker in the neck position, an S1 Single Coil in middle and a V8 Humbucker in the bridge position. This HSH configuration allows players to find a large range of tonal responses from sweet cleans to fat punch. In typical RG Series fashion this guitar features a simple electronics set up to control the pickup set with a 5 way pickup selector along, a single tone knob and a volume knob. 

The Edge tremolo bridge attached to this instrument is a masterclass in tremolo systems and is gaining a reputation for it's exceptional tuning stability, precise intonation adjustment and supreme playing comfort.
