Martin 000-18E Retro Electro Acoustic Guitar
From the groundbreaking Retro Series, the Martin 000-18E Retro is based on a pre-war era 14-fret 000-18 and features the stunning Fishman F1 Aura+ preamp system.
The heart of this guitar is based upon a 1940 14-fret 000-18 'donor' guitar from the Martin Museum collection and is designed to deliver the visual and tonal qualities of the mahogany auditorium pre-war guitars whilst having modern performance and playability.
The body of the 000-18E is constructed with a solid sitka spruce top and solid genuine mahogany back and sides. The neck hosts a short scale 24.9" solid ebony fingerboard and has a modified low oval profile with the Performing Artist taper for great playability.
Acoustically the 000-18E delivers a clear and rich tone with a stunning expressive response, amplified, the 000-18e really comes into its own thanks to the onboard Fishman F1 Aura Plus preamp system. This versatile preamp features the award winning Aura Acoustic Imaging technology which has the ability to replicate 9 different world class studio mics. It also features a new 'easy' mode to allow you to get a quick feel for the tonal possibilities and the 'performance' mode for access to the 3-band EQ, compressor and anti feedback.
