Martin X Series DCX1AE Dreadnought Electro-Acoustic
Introducing the Martin X-Series ELECTRO Dreadnought! Adopting the classic Dreadnought stance that Martin pioneered in the 19th century this is a traditional approach to acoustic instruments that started it all but with a cutaway for improved access to higher frets, modern luxuries and an attractive price!
Using a solid sitka spruce top and HPL (High Pressure Laminate) back and sides Martin have once again nailed that signature, highly balanced Martin tone. Precision enginnered for supreme durability and humidity resistance the HPL X braced body used for this Martin is not only highly stable but tonally compliments the natural sound projection generated by its matching solid Spruce top.
Another key feature of this X Series Electro Acoustic is it's unique neck, crafted using a Birch laminate with a light brown tint this is then married to a FSC Certified Richlite fingerboard. This is a pairing that feels smooth and comfortable in the players hands and not only looks great but gives a sweet quality to the natural tone of the instrument.
Being aimed at those players who need a quality electronics system for both studio and live use, Martin have of course only provided the finest Fishman Sonitone Preamp. This soundhole mounted preamp is a highly expressive system that captures the true natural acoustics of the unplugged sound. Take control of every detail of your guitars response using the rotary controls for volume and tone.
