The Martin OM-28e is a compact electro-acoustic guitar that features East Indian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top and the LR Baggs Anthem pickup/preamp system.
The OM28e is has been built using the finest tonewoods, with its East Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top. Combined, this pairing allow the OM-28e to deliver a rich, full sounding instrument, with good amounts of bass end complimented by a singing treble response. The updated Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) top bracing, offers a more vintage, breathy tone with enhanced sustain.
The body is married to a select hardwood neck with GE modified low oval neck profile which maintains its popular shape but is optimised for vintage appeal with minimal increase in total mass. An ebony fretboard sits atop the neck, giving a great smooth feel whilst adding to the guitar's overall tone, adding upper mid sparkle and snap.
Other playability enhancements include a thinner fingerboard with a gently bevelled comfort edge and refined string spacing at the nut, while the new GE modern belly bridge features smoother, more comfortable corners.
Martin have chose to fit the OM-28e with the LR Baggs Anthem electronics. The Anthem is a high quality system that allows the amplified tone of the OM-28e to truly sing, essential for gigging and recording,
Other appointments include open gear tuning machines, faux tortoiseshell pickguard an an included hard case.
