Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?

Choose whether you want to sell outright or trade your gear for something new and shiny or even something from our secondhand section.

Once you have chosen, simply fill out the form with as much information as you can. This will help the team get your personalised offer back to you as soon as possible.

What can I trade in?

We will take in used instruments such as electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitars, folk instruments such as banjos and ukuleles as well as amplifiers, effects pedals, guitar electronics and accessories.

We will also be happy to quote you on electronic and acoustic drums, PA gear and pretty much anything else!

Do I need to send photos?

Yes please! Please send photographs showing as many angles as you can to help us price your gear accurately. Please also photograph any damage.

Can my quote change?

If your item turns out to be different to what we were expecting then we may have to adjust our quote to you. We also reserve the right to withdraw an offer if this happens.

To avoid any issues, make sure you give us a great description of any issues with your item and send as many pictures as possible.

If you aren't happy with changes to your quote or decide not to go ahead then we can return your item to you. This is charged at £15.00 (UK Mainland) which is to cover the insured courier fee and any additional packaging.

How do I get paid?

If you choose to part exchange the money we agree to pay you for your gear simply comes off the bill for your new guitar or amp. Simple.

If you are selling for cash we'll ask you for your UK bank account help in your name and you'll have your money within 3 working days.

What condition is my gear in?

We categorise secondhand items as follows:

As new

An item that looks new with no playing marks or signs of wear.

Very good

No damage or wear but will have subtle signs of use

Good

Has been played and may have pick marks or light surface scratches from general use.

Well used but loved

Has had a good amount of use, has some scratches and a knock here and there

Really heavy wear

Played well with bumps and bashes. Perhaps some buckle rash and a chip or three to the finish.

Please note that all items need to be functioning normally.
