Fender American Original 50s Tele - Butterscotch Blonde / Maple
Following on from the blueprints behind the Fender Esquire before being introduced as the 'Broadcaster' then as the infamous 'Nocaster', the Fender Telecaster Solid Body Electric Guitar was born as we know it today back in 1952. Leo Fender could never predict the impact it would have on the popular music revolution! This simple yet effective design has now been revived in true form with this Fender American Original 50s Tele, here in Butterscotch Blonde with a Maple neck - a true classic vintage combination!
The Tele quickly became the working musicians guitar and was a trend setter both in the studio and on the stage. Whether it's country, blues or rock'n'roll, the Telecaster's unique style and sound is a must own instrument for any collection.
The American Original Series brings us the Fender American Original 50s Tele. This model is designed to offer the same specifications the Telecasters of the 1950s such as a lightweight Ash body, a thick “U”- shaped neck profile that fills out the hand, vintage tall frets, original-era body radius and vintage style three brass barrel saddle bridge, but also seamlessly adds the benefits that modern 9.5" radius feel and pickup switching.
Also true to the vintage originals is this instruments lacquer finish. This traditional Nitro Lacquer finish is highly desirable as it not only lets the wood “breathe” naturally allowing for more resonant tone, but it also wears in a distinctive and attractive fashion.
This guitar also features pickups that are as period correct as possible with a set of Pure Vintage ’52 single-coil Telecaster pickups occupying their respected neck and bridge positions. Thanks to enamel-coated coil wire, cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbins, copper-plated steel base plates, flush-mounted pole pieces and alnico 3 magnets this set sound the real deal for those who are looking for that classic Tele warmth and twang.
