The Made in Japan International Colour Series revisits a rare time in Fender history, reintroducing a colourful, distinctive, and cherished series to the map.
The vibrant and intriguing International Colour collection made its debut almost four decades ago and was produced for less than a year! Introduced in 1981 with fittings rooted in '70s design and a new pallet of colours named for exotic and provocative locations on the map, the International Colours are today desired by collectors and appreciated for their unique beauty and rarity.
The Made in Japan International Colour Series, now available in a limited edition, mixes a vivid vintage Fender spirit with Made in Japan workmanship to create a transcontinental treasure.
Featuring resonant basswood bodies, 9.5 radius maple or rosewood fretboards and medium jumbo frets to aid in the comfortable and familiar feel. The '70s "U" shaped neck features the original's "Bullet" type truss rod nut, "F" Stamped tuners, and serial number on the headstock front. Vintage-style single-coil Tele pickups and a three-saddle bridge with chrome barrel saddles provide classic Fender tone and feel.
