Fender Offset Series
The new Fender Offset series sees the re-release of a host of 'alternative' models - the Duo-Sonic, Mustang and Mustang Bass.
With the new Fender Offset Series, Fender have brought a range of 'alternative' models back to the front line.
There are 5 models in the new range - the Fender Duo-Sonic, Duo-Sonic HS, Mustang, Mustang P90 and the Mustang PJ Bass.
'Alternative'...'cult favourites'...underground classics'...whatever you want to call them, these Fender Offsets models are sure to be popular. By taking what is great about their original designs and treating them to a host of modern appointments, these guitars are sure fire winners!
The Duo-Sonic and its brother model, the Duo-Sonic HS, take the original 1956 design and deliver a modern day take on it. Both models feature the downsized body with an ultra-playable 24" scale, with the regular model fitted with a pair of Duo-Sonic single coils and the HS version loaded with a humbucker (tappable) / single coil configuration.
The Fender Mustang is a true 'buck the trend' guitar - as made famous by bands like Nirvana and currently The 1975. Two new versions appear in this Offset range with both rocking that classic body shape and much loved short scale. The regular model comes with a pair of angled single coil pickups whilst the Mustang 90 model adds some beef courtesy of the pair of Fender MP-90 pickups.
As for your bassists, well Fender haven't left you out. The Mustang PJ Bass has the classic compact Mustang body and the short 30" scale, that not only aids playability but also helps delivers a unique, warmer tone. Loaded with the classic P and Jazz bass pickup configuration, the Mustang PJ Bass is also a versatile little number too!
Whether you want to stand out from the crowd, need a shorter scale instrument or fancy trying a unique piece of Fender 'alternative' history, these Fender Offset models are sure to appeal!
