Franfurt Musikmesse is the annual European music show which allows all the leading manufacturers to show off their range and launch a host of new and exciting products. Here is a run down of some of the most exciting new gear from this year's show.
Roland have announced some hot new products at Musikmesse. Alongside some new additions to the Aira range they have launched the new Roland TD-25K and TD-25KV V-Drums electronic drum kits and a very exciting new synth in the form of the Roland JD-XA.
The two TD25 V-Drums kits put premium V-Drum appointments into a mid-level priced instruments. They deliver a superb sound set thanks to their sound engine being derived from the flagship TD30-KV alongside a host of other great features.
A new synth from Roland is always exciting and the Roland JD-XA is sure to be popular. The JD-XA is an advanced sythnesizer with independent analogue and digital sound engines making for a very cool crossover synth.
Who doesn't love creating new sounds with their favourite guitar? With the new BOSS SY-300 Guitar Synthesizer you can just do that! Brand new from Orange is the very cool Bax Bangeetar pedal. Supremely versatile, it can be used as a regular stompbox, as a standalone preamp or for use as a direct recording tool. Orange have also updated their Rockerverb series to MkIII - with a 100w head, a 50w head and a 50w combo in the range.
Marshall's new Astoria range of combos and heads not only have standout visuals but have been designed to cater for the discerning guitarist who wants it all. Get authentic vintage sounds thanks to the hand-wired, point-to-point all valve design - from sparkling cleans to sublime saturation. There are 3 models in the Astoria Series with each available as a 30w combo or head and matching 1x12" cabinet.
The VOX AC tone is legendary but for some the AC15 and AC30 amps to big and hard to manage and lower volume levels whilst the AC4 just hasn't got enough power....that's where the Vox AC10 C1 comes into play. Martin will showcase the second iteration of the Ed Sheeran signature model - the Ed Sheeran X Signature. Yamaha have updated their popular slimline piano in the form of the Arius YDP-S52 - a perfect home piano for those with limited space or wanting something more modern looking. In addition, Yamaha are also showcasing the some updated keyboard - the PSR-E253 and PSR-E353 alongside new iterations from the P-Series - the P-45 and P-115.
