NAMM 2015

Check out some of the most exciting products launched at this year's NAMM 2015 Music Trade Show.

NAMM is the annual music show which allows all the leading manufacturers to show off their range and launch a host of new and exciting products. Here is a run down of some of the most exciting new gear from this years show.

 

TC Electronic

TC Electronic have launched two brand new TonePrint compact guitar pedals in the from the Helix Phaser and the Viscous Vibe. The Helix Phaser is a super versatile phaser pedal whilst the Viscous Vibe is a faithfull recreation of the legendary Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe.

TC's range of bass gear has taken the bass world by storm over the last few years. They have now updated the popular BC range of cabs with the very classy looking K-Series bass cabinets.

 

TC Helicon

TC Helicon have bolstered the Ditto range with the addition of the Ditto Mic Looper. A simple to use, high quality loop pedal designed especially for vocals and mic'd up instruments - great for singers, beatboxers and acoustic performers. 

The other new launch from TC Helicon is the MP-76 mic. The MP-76 is a great sounding dynamic mic that also gives you hands on control of your TC Helicon vocal products thanks to its 4 user assignable buttons. This means you can make loops, activate effects and switch presets all from the the microphone. 

 

Orange

The Orange Crush range of amps have always been hugely popular, delivering that classic Orange tone and styling. With the new updated Crush series of practice amps there are some great updates, including a new improved high-gain pre amp design, custom speakers and more.

Orange also launced the OB1 Series of bass amps. The OB1-300 and OB1-500, 300 and 500 watts respectively, feature a cool bi-amp inspired design - giving you access to a great range of tones all from one amp! The OBC212 has also been announced, a 2x12" isobaric cabinet.

 

Blackstar

Need an amp for home to cover a multitude of uses? Well the Blackstar ID:Core Beam is brand new 20w amplifier that is suitable for use with electric, acoustic and bass guitars with dedicated sounds for all three. It also features Bluetooth connectivity that also for wireless streaming of your music and a host of other great appointments.

 

Fender

Fender announced a range of American Strats with a newly developed Shawbucker pickup at the bridge - delivering a powerful HSS Strat. Within the Standard range Fender have added more humbuckers to their guitars with the Standard HSH Stratocater, a Standard HSS Floyd Rose loaded Strat and a Standard Tele HH. A new Standard Jazzmaster has also been added to the Mexican made models. For those that like a worn feel and look, a 60s Jaguar and Jazzmasters have joined the Road Worn Series.

 

Dunlop

The new Crybaby Mini takes the legendary wah pedal and halves its size, making it perfect for your pedalboard. It may be small but it comes equipped with the Fasel inductor, a full sewwp range and 3 internal adjustable voicings to tweak the tone to your choice - Low, Vintage and GCB95 (modern) 

 

Ashdown

Along with an update to the legendary ABM range, Ashdown have launched the Rootmaster 800, some updated Rootmaster cabs and a new 25w Tourbus practice amp.

Taylor

Taylor have added some electro models to their popular Baby range with the Baby Taylors and the Big Babies to be available with an optional pickup / tuner. The top selling GS Mini range gets bolstered with the addition of the GS Mini-e Koa and all models from the 300 series upwards now come as standard with the new ES2 Expression System.

 

Roland

Probably the biggest announcement from Roland was the very exciting JD-Xi synthesizer. This ultra compact (37 mini keys) yet powerful synth is an analogue/digital crossver that will be able to deliver a huge array of tones thanks to the dedicated sound engines. It also includes a gooseneck mic so you can get some of that vocoder and auto pitch vocal action going on!

 

Cort

One for you Muse fans! Cort, in conjunction with Manson Guitar Works, officially launched the Matt Bellamy MBC-1 signature guitar. This is the first official Matthew Bellamy signature guitar to be launched to a global audience and is due to arrive in March 2015.
