The TAMA HS40LOWN Stagemaster Snare Stand (Low Profile) is specifically engineered with a low position basket construction that sits a full 100mm lower than the standard HS40WN model.
This makes it a fantastic choice for taller deep-dish snares, younger players who need a more accessible setup, or even for mounting a tom-tom at a more comfortable level alongside your bass drum.
Despite its specialist height range, this stand does not compromise on the professional features that make Tama hardware so reliable. It is equipped with a universal gearless tilter, which is a massive improvement over traditional notched systems. Instead of being stuck with preset angles that never seem quite right, this tilter uses metal plate friction to let you find the exact tilt that suits your grip and posture. Once you lock it in, it stays exactly where you want it.
The basket itself is fitted with Tama’s clever escape claw rubber cushions. These are designed to let the drum float rather than being choked by the basket arms, which significantly improves the natural resonance and sustain of your snare. An added benefit of these cushions is that they act as a sort of shock absorber, softening the impact on your wrists and arms during heavy backbeats.
Built with a 25.4mm diameter base pipe and double braced legs, the stand is incredibly stable on stage but remains light enough at 2.7kg to be a breeze to transport in your hardware bag.
