The Fender JMJ Justin Meldal-Johnsen Road Worn Mustang Bass has been designed in conjunction with the multi-talented bass player and producer. With its short scale, road worn finish and custom pickup, it's a great take on the compact bass legend!
Fender worked closely with Justin to create this signature model, which is based off his own much loved '66 Mustang Bass. It features an alder body, complete with a Nitro Cellulose lacquer finish, which has then been given the Fender Road Worn treatment for some instant mojo!
The body hosts a short scale (30") maple neck which is topped with a 9.5" radius fingerboard set with 19 frets. This ultra playable neck combined with its compact body size, makes for a great playing and comfortable instrument.
Loaded with a custom-spec Seymour Duncan Mustang pickup, wired through a simple volume and tone control, gives access to some punchy bass tone full of character and vintage vibe.
Vintage style hardware and the aged pearl pickguard adds to the its retro charm.
