The MXR MB301 Bass Synth pedal gives bassists instant access to a range of classic synth tones. This powerhouse bass synth pedal offers thunderous sub-octave, expressive envelope, lush modulation effects and killer tracking, that all make for a truly inspiring pedal to play!
So many classic songs utilize iconic bass synth tones. From Stevie Wonder to Funkadelic to Michael Jackson all the way up to modern artists. Analogue style, synthy bass tones are a sure fire way to get some funky low end into your tracks.
The MXR MB301 Bass Synth features a selection of controls and settings to control every detail of your synth bass tone. The Sub Mix sets how much sub octave is blended into your signal, Mod can go take you from subtle shimmering movements to mind bending pulses, whilst the Envelope sets the filter response for some rubber band bound all the way to more sweepy sounds. The Mix control sets you wet/dry signals, whilst the Cutoff and Resonance work together to tweak the filter tone.
Extra versatility comes via the Voice button which adds additional harmonically tuned oscillators for more complex tones, whilst the Shape button selects your preferred waveform: smooth and subtle triangle, rich and aggressive sawtooth, or fat and punchy square!
The pedal also features 8 different presets, designed by Ian Martin Allison to plug you straight into the groove. These presets are inspired by classic tracks such as Michael Jacksons Thriller and Herbie Hancock's Chameleon to Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer and Nine Inch Nail's Head Like a Hole.
The MXR Bass Synth features extra settings like oscillator and modulation mix, compression, and tracking style. You can use it in stereo output mode and connect an external switch, such as the MXR Split + Tap or Tap Tempo Switch, to easily switch presets. Additionally, a Volume (X) Series pedal can be used to blend different settings.
