The Gibson ES-335 Dot - the classic semi-acoustic guitar in its latest iteration!
Introduced in 1958, the ES-335 was the worlds first semi-hollow electric guitar. It offers a wide variety of classic tones making it popular with guitarists playing virtually all styles of music. Whether its jazzy clean tones, crunchy blues sounds or powerful heavy rock that is required, the ES-335 will deliver, making it one of the most important guitars ever made.
The Gibson ES335 Dot uses the tried-and-tested laminated Maple/Poplar/Maple body. A thermally engineered maple centerblock, and spruce bracing for a lighter weight and improved tonal capabilities.
The neck is built from mahogany, shaped into a comfortable hand-rolled rounded "C" profile and is topped off with a bound 12" radius rosewood fretboard containing 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays.
Hardware is all nickel. The combination of an ABR-1 bridge and aluminium stopbar tailpiece coupled with Vintage Deluxe tuners (with Keystone buttons) help keep tuning stability rock solid.
Pickups are Gibson's new calibrated T-Type humbuckers. Tonally, these pickups gives you access to classic humbucker sounds, with good amounts of improved clarity and midrange. The pickups are hand wired through the usual 3 way selector switch, two volume and two tone controls, 500K potentiometers and orange drop capacitors
To complete the package, all Gibson ES-335 Dot comes complete with a Gibson hard case.
