The Seymour Duncan Woody XL (SA-3XL) is a passive, noiseless soundhole acoustic guitar pickup with adjustable pole pieces for a perfect string-to-string balance. No modifications needed!
Instant, Tool-Free Installation
The Woody XL requires absolutely no drilling, cutting, or permanent modifications to your instrument. It features heavy-duty, foam-lined side slots that gently push-fit into your guitar's soundhole in seconds, and can be removed just as easily at a moments notice - great for live performers who don't want to permanently modify their acoustic guitar. The pickup is permanently attached to a 14 foot studio quality cable that can be plugged directly into an acoustic amplifier, PA system, audio interface, direct box (DI), or mixing console.
Individually Adjustable Pole Pieces
The standout feature of the Woody XL is its six individually adjustable pole pieces. By raising or lowering the pole pieces beneath each string, you can meticulously fine-tune the string-to-string volume balance with any acoustic you use it with!
True Noiseless Hum Cancelling Performance
The Woody XL features a passive stacked humbucking design, designed to deliver a noise-free performance and eliminate unwanted 60-cycle hum. Additionally, the entire pickup is double potted , shielding it against microphonic body resonance and significantly reducing feedback at high volume - essential for live performance situations.
Custom Wood Finishes
The Woody XL pickups are housed in a choice of elegant, custom-finished wooden casings that are designed to complement the natural look of any acoustic.
