The Trace Elliot TE1200 bass amplifier head provides significant power and a professional feature set designed for demanding stage environments. Delivering 1200 watts of RMS power, this unit offers the headroom required for large venues while maintaining the clarity and definition that professional bass players expect from the Trace Elliot name.
Designed to be road-ready from the start, this amplifier head includes practical additions such as rack ears and a padded gig bag. It is built to withstand the rigours of touring, ensuring that your core sound remains consistent night after night, whether you are playing in smaller clubs or large-scale arenas.
Powerful Performance and Headroom
At the heart of the TE-1200 is 1200 watts of RMS power, providing immense headroom for clean, punchy articulation even at high volume levels. This design allows the amplifier to drive up to two Trace Pro cabinets simultaneously, making it a flexible solution for players who need to scale their rig depending on the venue size.
The internal circuitry focuses on efficient power delivery, helping to ensure that the amplifier remains reliable under the stress of live performance. Its construction prioritises both durability and ease of transport, with a sturdy chassis and an inset top handle that simplifies handling during setups and breakdowns.
Precision Tone Shaping
Trace Elliot is renowned for a specific approach to bass EQ, and the TE-1200 continues this legacy with its proprietary Multi-band Compressor and Pre-Shape control. These tools allow for deep, precise adjustment of your signal, helping you carve out a space in the mix regardless of your bass or playing style.
The built-in compression features both Lo-Band and Hi-Band controls, offering a level of dynamic management usually found in external rack units. This allows for tighter low-end response and controlled high-end transients, helping you achieve a polished, studio-quality sound that translates well to both live stages and recording sessions.
Connectivity and Professional Features
Beyond its raw output, the TE-1200 integrates seamlessly into modern professional rigs. It features a low-noise direct output for front-of-house integration, alongside power amp input and output jacks that allow for linking multiple units if needed. For digital convenience, the inclusion of a USB recording output means you can connect directly to your interface for clean, reliable tracking.
The unit also supports advanced control via a four-button MIDI footswitch, enabling you to switch settings on the fly without interrupting your performance. With dual Neutrik combo input jacks, the amplifier provides robust and secure connectivity for any instrument cable.
