Zildjian

With a history spanning over four centuries, the Avedis Zildjian Company is recognised as the oldest manufacturer of musical instruments in the world.

Founded in 1623 in Constantinople, now Istanbul, by an Armenian alchemist named Avedis, the company originally manufactured cymbals for the bands of the Ottoman Empire.

Today, Zildjian is the leading global manufacturer of cymbals and drumsticks, remaining a family-owned enterprise managed by the fifteenth generation of the Zildjian family.
