The MXR M236 SuperBadAss Variac Fuzz is an aggresive fuzz with that added bite! This is a must have for vintage fuzz enthusiasts as the Super Bad Ass finally gives the player the option to achieve that saggy fuzz sound via a built in varic control where you can go from 15v all the way down to 5v.
The Super Bad Ass Variac Fuzz was born when MXR dusted off a vintage spec silicon fuzz circuit and got to work. After some tweaking MXR added in the useful Variac control that has the ability to emulate a 9V battery that is low on power, the player can simply lower the voltage by turning the special Variac knob counterclockwise. Doing the opposite will increase the voltage too and in turn gives the effect more headroom for that open more transparent fuzz at the full 15V.
The interface and design on this pedal is simple, you have three controls in the form of tone, output, and gain. As expected with MXR this fuzz comes in a road ready chassis with true bypass switching built in.
