Gretsch Electromatic G5410T "Rat Rod" Hollow Body
Gretsch always produce standout guitars, and that is certainly the case with the G5410T Electromatic "Rat Rod". A matte finished, hollow bodied guitar loaded with a Bigsby and a pair of Black Top Filter'Tron humbuckers with red pickup inserts.
With its hollow body design, the Gretsch G5410T Rat Rod is loud, proud and resonant! Grestch have opted for a thinner 2.25" body, great for playing comfort...especially during those long sets! The single cutaway body is constructed with an arched maple top and back, paired with maple sides. The body hosts oversized, bound F holes, a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece, and is finished in a no-nonsense matte finish.
Paired to the body is a satin finished maple neck that is topped with a modern 12" radius fingerboard set with pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. A classy, smaller late-'50s G6120 bound headstock also features.
The G5410T is powered by a pair of Black Top Filter'Tron humbucker pickups, which have been set with eye-catching red inserts. With their roaring punch and hallmark late '50s snap and bite, the Rat Rod delivers a powerful tone. The pickups are wired through a versatile setup, with a master volume with a treble bleed circuit, master tone, neck and bridge pickup volume controls and a 3-way pickup selector switch.
Other appointments include a Adjusto-matic bridge with rosewood base, Graphtech NuBone nut and G Arrow control knobs.
The G5410T Rat Rod is a great addition to the ever-popular Electromatic range, delivering standout looks and a powerful sound, full of that classic Gretsch tone.
