Part of the Inspired by Gibson collection, the Epiphone SG Custom recreates the model that debuted back in 1961 to replace the Les Paul, which had been put on temporary hold.
The SG Custom utilises a traditional solid mahogany body with the classic double cutaway design with a small multi-ply pickguard. Paired to the body is a mahogany neck that has been carved into highly playable SlimTaper neck profile which is then topped with a bound ebony fingerboard with 12" radius. The fingerboard host 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays. Being a custom model, the headstock is also adorned with Split Diamond inlay.
The guitar is powered by a pair of Alinco Classic Pro humbuckers that are wired through the traditional 3-way pickup selector and 4 knob configuration - 2 x volume and 2 x tone. Combined, this classic setup gives you access to those classic SG tones, full of snarling power, sustain and SG growl.
Other appointments include eye-catching gold hardware,a LockTone ABR tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, black top hat knobs with inserts, and a Graph Tech nut.
