The Fender Electric XII is a 12-string electric guitar from the Fender's 2019 Alternate Reality Series. This latest edition of the Electric XII (it was originally launched in 1965) is a great addition to any guitarist's arsenal, delivering a unique tone, vintage looks, and modern playability.
Designed from the ground up for modern-day performance and authentic tone, the Fender Electric XII is visually and tonally standout performer. Its body features a Jazzmaster design constructed from alder and topped with a 4-ply Aged White Pearloid. Paired with the body is a great feeling maple neck (with a Modern C profile) and topped with a 9.5" radius fingerboard set with 22 medium jumbo frets. The distinctive 1965 headstock design, adds to the guitars appeal and vintage looks.
The Electric XII comes fitted with a pair of split-coil pickups that have been specially designed for this guitar. They deliver a crisp, clean and balanced tone, enhancing that classic 12-string jangly tone. The pickups are wired through master volume and master tone control section and a 3-way pickup selector switch, giving access to a good variety of tones.
With its special 12-string hardtail bridge and vintage style tuners, the Electric XII is able to hold tuning well, an essential feature for any 12-string instrument! With its fully adjustable design, featuring 12 individual saddles, you'll also be able to easily maintain spot-on intonation.
