Guide to Faith Blood Moon Guitars

Quick Summary

The Faith Blood Moon Series is one of Faith's premium instrument lines. Read on to learn more about the different models in the lineup and how they compare.

What is the Faith Blood Moon Guitar Series?

The Faith Blood Moon series is a lineup of premium, unique electro-acoustic guitars.

With highly figured all solid ‘AAA’ grade Trembesi construction and Patrick James Eggle’s design, it's no surprise that this range claimed the crown of 'Best Acoustic Guitar 2016' with the popular 'Venus' model.

What are the unique features of Faith Blood Moon Guitars?

The Blood Moon series was designed with individuality in mind.

Constructed from gorgeous solid Javanese Trembesi tonewood, each guitar has its own unique figuring and grain pattern.

Not only are the guitars in this line visually stunning, but they sound wonderful too. Trembesi has a similar tone to mahogany, with a lot of warmth and balance, but a bit more sparkle in the high-end.

While they sound great unplugged, the addition of Fishman INK3 electronics ensures your sound stays balanced when amplifying too. The Blood Moon guitars feature an undersaddle piezo pickup controlled by a flush-fitting, side-mounted preamp, featuring a 3-band EQ and built in tuner, so dialling in your sound couldn’t be easier.

What’s the difference between the models in the Blood Moon series?

As with most of Faith’s series’, the key difference between the Blood Moon models is the shape of the instruments.

This lineup features two distinct models: the Faith Blood Moon Venus & the Faith Blood Moon Neptune

Here’s a quick guide to each shape and what kind of player they’re each best suited to.

Faith Blood Moon Venus

The Faith Blood Moon Venus

The ‘Venus’ shape features a soft cut-away design, giving you ease of access to the lower frets. Similar to a classic auditorium, it’s one of Faith’s most comfortable shapes, with a 15” lower bout and shallower body. It’s also the only model in the lineup that’s also available in a left-handed configuration

This model is best suited to frequent players, looking for a guitar they can play comfortably over long periods of time without sacrificing tone or power.

Faith Blood Moon Neptune

The Faith Blood Moon Neptune

Now for the Neptune. This shape also features a soft cutaway design, based on Patrick James Eggle’s historic ‘Saluda’ body shape. It’s somewhat similar to a baby jumbo.

Featuring a 16” lower bout, this guitar is perfect for players looking for a larger sound without the bulk of a larger guitar.
