Another new pickup has been added to the ongoing collaboration between Steve Vai and DiMarzio - welcome to the DiMarzio Gravity Storm Humbucker.
Available in both a dedicated neck and bridge version, these pickups add some unique qualities for those wanting some great humbucker tones.
The Gravity Storm Bridge pickup delivers more depth and warmer highs and mids than the Vai Evolution humbucker, a real plug and play pickup that doesn't require a whole load of tweaking. With the highs being so fat you are able to increase treble on your amp without losing that important tone and sustain.
The Gravity Storm Neck pickup has some unique properties for a neck humbucker - reproducing great pick harmonics (unusual for neck humbucker) and a real throaty tone, not unlike the bite of a single coil but with the depth of a humbucker.
